Qatar Foundation for Social Work, affiliated with the Ministry of Social Development and Family, and Rafiq, the first Qatari company in the field of delivery and service provision, signed a memorandum of understanding with the aim of joint cooperation and coordination in the field of providing services to society.

According to the memorandum, both parties undertake to provide mutual support and exchange of ideas and resources to improve and expand the services they provide to society. The MoU also includes understanding on issues related to community development and service improvement.

The memorandum was signed by Mr. Rashed bin Mohammed Al-Hamda Al-Naimi on behalf of Qatar Foundation for Social Work, tasked with the duties of the Foundation's CEO, and by Mr. Abdullah Thamer Al-Humaidi, CEO of Rafiq. Both parties are keen to achieve fruitful and sustainable cooperation. The MoU includes conducting joint projects and collaborating in integrating the targeted categories of the Foundation's centers into different activities and events and benefiting from the services provided by Rafiq that serve the mutual objectives.

The agreement also provides opportunities for community sponsorship or strategic partnership for some of the Foundation's projects, in addition to employing a certain percentage of members from the affiliated centers in Rafiq annually whose capabilities and potential allow them to work in the company's administrative positions and develop their abilities in line with the nature of work.

The memorandum includes Rafiq's contribution to the global days related to the categories targeted by the Foundation's centers, and the use of the Rafiq platform to showcase the products of members of the centers and home-based project owners, or to promote upcoming events.​
